MNUAT is a public university established in 2012 under the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) with registration number CR.1/029. The University is dedicated to advancing education in agriculture, engineering, technology, and agribusiness. It is strategically located in Butiama, the birthplace of Tanzania’s founding father on a 573.2-acre main campus. MNUAT also operates the 149.3-acre Tabora Campus, the Oswald Mang’ombe Campus, and several other land parcels across the Mara Region to support future growth and specialized projects.
As a modern “Fourth Generation” and entrepreneurial university, MNUAT combines high-quality academic programs with strong community engagement. All applications are completed online via the Online Application System (OAS). Create an account, confirm your Form IV details, pay the application fee, enter your Form VI index number (or Diploma AVN), rank your preferred programmes, review, and submit. Remember to log back in regularly to track the status of your application.
Admission requirements vary depending on the program. Generally, for undergraduate degree programs, applicants need to have successfully completed their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent with the required principal passes in relevant subjects.
