 The University engages students and staff in projects such as the KIJANI Space Project, aquatic‑science fieldwork, and initiatives under the World Bank–funded HEET Project, ensuring real‑world problem‑solving and innovation experience.

MNUAT offers a growing number of undergraduate programs across its various schools and colleges. Some of the key undergraduate courses include Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, and Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture. The university is continuously developing new programs in areas like agricultural engineering, food science and technology, and horticulture.

 MNUAT operates three campuses:

  • Main Campus (573 acres) and Oswald Mang’ombe Campus in Butiama, Mara Region.
  • Tabora Campus in Itonjanda Village, Tabora Region—expanding the University’s central‑Tanzania footprint.

Students use the Student Record Management System (SRMS) for academic records, the Learning Management System (LMS) for e‑learning, and the OAS for admission processes. These links are accessible under “Student Links” on the website. 

 All applications are completed online via the Online Application System (OAS). Create an account, confirm your Form IV details, pay the application fee, enter your Form VI index number (or Diploma AVN), rank your preferred programmes, review, and submit. Remember to log back in regularly to track the status of your application.

Admission requirements vary depending on the program. Generally, for undergraduate degree programs, applicants need to have successfully completed their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent with the required principal passes in relevant subjects. Specific entry qualifications for each program can be found in the university's admission guidelines on its official website.
