Welcome to the School of Agriculture
The School of Agriculture is dedicated to advancing excellence in agricultural sciences, research, innovation, and outreach. We are committed to playing a pivotal role in addressing key global and national challenges, including food security, sustainable agriculture, climate change resilience and mitigation, and the sustainable management of natural resources.
Our educational approach blends academic rigor with hands-on learning and research innovation. We offer a vibrant, inclusive learning environment across diverse academic programs.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, the school is offering the following programs:
1. Two undergraduate degree programs:
1.1. Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture
1.2. Bachelor of Science in Crop Science and Production
2. Four diploma programs:
2.1. Diploma in Crop Science and Production
2.2. Diploma in Animal Health and Production
2.3. Diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture
2.4. Ordinary Diploma in Agriculture Production (NACTVET)
In addition, the school has successfully developed four other bachelor’s programs and one diploma programs, which are in the final process of accreditation and approval by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU):

1.2 Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology
1.3 Bachelor of Science in Beekeeping Science and Technology
1.4 Bachelor of Science in Forestry
