The Chairperson of the Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MNUAT) Council and former Chief Secretary of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Philemon Luhanjo, together with other Council members, visited the University’s Tabora Campus on 20th August 2025 to inspect the progress of the ongoing construction project. 

The delegation toured key facilities under development, including the administration block, lecture halls, laboratory, hostel, cafeteria, and the campus dispensary. During the visit, Mr. Luhanjo and the Council emphasized the importance of accelerating construction works to ensure the project is completed within the agreed timeframe. They underscored that timely delivery of the facilities is essential to strengthening the University’s academic mission and creating a modern, conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research. 

The Tabora Campus construction project, valued at TZS 16,179,402,501.87, is scheduled for completion by 5th December 2025. Once finalized, the new infrastructure will not only expand access to higher education but also enhance MNUAT’s capacity to advance agricultural innovation, technological progress, and community development in Tanzania and the wider region.

Students use the Student Record Management System (SRMS) for academic records, the Learning Management System (LMS) for e‑learning, and the OAS for admission processes. These links are accessible under “Student Links” on the website. 

 All applications are completed online via the Online Application System (OAS). Create an account, confirm your Form IV details, pay the application fee, enter your Form VI index number (or Diploma AVN), rank your preferred programmes, review, and submit. Remember to log back in regularly to track the status of your application.

Admission requirements vary depending on the program. Generally, for undergraduate degree programs, applicants need to have successfully completed their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent with the required principal passes in relevant subjects.
