
Estate Management Unit
The Directorate of Estate Management, operating under the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and Administration (DVC PFA), plays a critical role in supporting the core functions of the University. It ensures that teaching, research, consultancy, and outreach activities are conducted in a safe, well-maintained, and conducive environment.
The key responsibilities of the Directorate include:
- Overseeing the maintenance, rehabilitation, construction, and overall improvement of University infrastructure and campus environments.
- Managing and supervising the provision of essential utilities and security services to facilitate seamless University operations.
- Coordinating the preparation and implementation of physical master plans, landscaping initiatives, and general estate administration.
- Maintaining University motor vehicles, plants, and machinery to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
- Supervising and monitoring outsourced estate-related services, including construction and other contracted works.
- Coordinating consultancy services in estate management.
- Preparing and reviewing architectural designs, drawings, and structural plans for University buildings and facilities.
- Conducting feasibility studies and assessing the viability of proposed development projects on University land.
